134 – basketball IQ and 9-point circle

My 6th graders are working on percentages and “Basketball IQ” from Mathalicious is a slam dunk lesson for this. It’s just more fun to watch clips of real basketball games and calculate the NBA and WNBA players’ shooting percentages.


My geometry kids worked constructed the 9-point circle. They followed my instructions to construct and locate the 9 points, but they had to figure out where the center of the circle is draw it.
