27 – always, sometimes, never

I wrote about this lesson last year here when I did it with the 6th graders. Today I’m using another set for my 8th grade algebra kids. I like the dialogue that the kids have when they’re deciding where to place the equation — Common Core Math Practice #3 comes to mind: construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others.
